Even when great consulting advice is given so many organisations don't understand the cadence and sequence of change and well intended efforts fall flat. Our work therefore is best engaged from the outset, so we can help you from the start. We get underneath the assumptions, doubts and limiting beliefs of the people leading the transformation. We believe transforming any institution in whatever sector means bringing human complexity into the narrative. Solutions

Coaching

We offer Firestick Coaching as a critical pre-transformation phase paired with team-awareness or during transformation programmes. Firesticking is a fusion offer which blends coaching, mentoring and process consulting for the transformation leadership/executive team. This includes individual coaching for each leader. We also coach and mentor transformation leaders, sponsors or project teams to lead in disruptive times. See our Coach the Transformation training programme which helps leaders involved in transformation create resilience and sufficiency within their clients rather than reliance and surrogacy.   

Consulting

We consult to organisations to help them transform their culture, operating model or transformation programme design. We also consult on digital transformation and mindset, innovation mindset and bias, openness and inclusion. We provide consultation solutions to build a coaching culture.  

Culture change

Our culture change programmes attack the opportunity from all angles. This includes Firestick Coaching for the executive team, culture assessment, consultation for the organisation on strategy and transformation, and our Talk Less Hear More training. We work with you to understand what you want and facilitate a plan on how to get there. We only work with organisations where the CEO is the sponsor (or you need help to get them there). Culture is not a "people" or HR thing. Culture change is the oil that connects people and practice and needs absolute backing of the executive team and the CEO.

Groups and teams have different needs. Our group solutions are for people who interact together whether it be for work or another need. What makes groups different to a team is the reason for being there. Rather than being tied to a longer term specific purpose which drives your interactions like a team, groups have a different nature. All teams are groups, but not all groups are teams? Why is this important? It impacts who the work is for and how we contract with you. Your needs might be a one day session, some training, or conference. Familiar with psychometrics? Most people have had exposure to testing or the idea at some point. What many don't realise is that commonly used and credible psychometric testing can encourages a static understanding of yourself. You can hear people refer to themselves as a type. We think about workshops as a thinking space with intent. Highly experimental and experiential, our workshops create space for change. Forget ideas of being taught and taking some notes, we take as many risks as you in our workshops. They are places for honesty, openness, growth and thinking partnerships. We focus our current workshop delivery on bias, openness and inclusion, team-awareness, The Innovators Method and strategy. We also offer workshop design where our Associates may be the leads, or collectively we can bring in the right thinkers to help achieve your purpose.

Workshops 

Inspiring experiential learning
Executive meetings, away days, team development and strategic planning sessions. We offer facilitators to help you think better. There is usually a very good reason for having a specific session that needs facilitating, but what usually happens? The leader tries to do two roles and stops listening. Alternatively, someone in the team who is reasonably good at it takes the role and you miss their great input. Worse, someone in the team thinks they are amazing at facilitating and the takes over the whole session, frustrating the group or they can't be impartial and steer the team to an outcome. What is the best case if you don't bring in an external facilitator, who can hear what is being said and well as what is unsaid? Best case, there might be someone outside the team who can join (but they need to play catch up on their day job) or there might be a consultant more accustomed to advising in the business who can step in. The thing is, facilitation is an art. It's not the person who has hold of the marker, who can take notes or doing the tech on the zoom! It is knowing what you're after, creating a session that helps you get there, reading the room, changing mid-flow, holding you to account and bringing your great thinking to life. Heather walks a line (or walks all over the lines) of challenging the notion that a calm presence can't be an engaging presence. Her mentoring and Think Fusion solutions are born out of people seeking Heather out specifically to hear her unique take on things. She has in her personal and professional life always been known for her way of looking at things, sparking new ideas and perspectives. Heather has integrated her thought leadership through teaching, workshops and conferences, podcasts and interviews. Awarded best paper for her presentation at the BPS Coaching Psychology Conference 2023 and invited to speak at conferences such as the ICF Systemic & Development Series, Heather brings the complex into the useful for coaches, teams, leaders and organisations.
